If the device gets wet, it should be dried immediately to prevent water damage Use: Bathe your pet with a tick and flea shampoo and remove any remaining parasites. Place the device on the collar and remove the tab to activate the device. 4 red flashes will indicate that the device is on. You can verify its continued operation at any time by pressing the button and confirming that the LED flashes in response. At normal temperatures, the device can keep parasites away for 6-12 months after activation. To ensure its effectiveness, the device should remain affixed to the animal at all times. The device emits ultrasonic pulses that are imperceptible to humans and pets, but interfere with the ability of the parasites to orient themselves, thus keeping them away from your pet. The device is primarily intended for preventive purposes. Effectiveness depends on the condition of the animals coat, as well as the number of parasites present in the area. The unique hygroscopic properties of this ecological substrate regulate the terrarium's humidity in a natural way and is totally safe for frogs, salamanders and other burrowing or digging animals. Adequate air humidity levels aid in shedding and help prevent respiratory infections. Let it soak for about 30 minutes until it completely absorbs the water and no clumps remain. Stir the substrate to ensure that no compressed parts remain and that the substrate is ready to use. Spread a 5-10 cm layer (2-4") layer of Exo Terra Coco Husk on the terrarium floor. Water or mist the substrate according to the humidity level required and use an Exo Terra Hygrometer to monitor the humidity level. Spot clean the bedding on a daily basis, and completely replace with new bedding when necessary.
