Take care of water levels in basements and sump pits with the Mastercraft Cast Iron Sump Pump with Tethered Switch, 1/3 HP. Designed for permanent installation, this electric sump pump is ideal for removing water from basins, tanks, flooded floors, window wells, basements, pools, hot tubs and large flooded areas. Powered by long-lasting, oil-cooled 1/3 HP motor, this submersible sump pump has a maximum flow rate of 2760 GPH (10,448 L/h). Built-in thermal overload protection prevents the motor from overheating by switching off the sump pump before damage is caused. The permanent split-capacitator motor has lower amperage, which keeps the motor cooler and helps with longevity. The carrying handle allows for easy portability. Cast-iron construction and a powder-coated finish provide lasting durability, corrosion resistance and greater heat distribution. This cast iron sump pump has a stainless-steel drive shaft and fasteners to prevent corrosion and breakage while increasing resiliency. The wide-angle, non-mercury, tethered float switch includes a built-in piggyback plug. The switch is fully adjustable for optimal drainage, and it can be used with automatic and manual functions. The stainless-steel impeller resists clogs and handles solids up to 3/8” (1cm) in diameter. Additionally, a removable intake screen filters out large debris, preventing this basement pump from clogging. A screwdriver, hacksaw, tape measure, rigid pipe, tongue and groove pliers, zip ties, cement and a check valve (sold separately) may be required in order to install the pump. This product includes a 10’ (3m) power cord.
